As we expand, we are looking for Associates with excellent credentials to support us in driving client success and shaping the future of the firm. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Associates to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners, Senior Associates, and clients on complex, high-value matters. This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the firm’s long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research & Drafting: Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft a variety of legal documents, including contracts, opinions, pleadings, and memos, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws.
  • Client Advisory: Advise clients on [specific practice area] matters, providing clear, practical, and commercially sound guidance.
  • Transaction/Case Management: Assist with the management of cases, transactions, and other client matters, including liaising with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory bodies.
  • Compliance & Risk Assessment: Support clients in navigating regulatory frameworks and mitigating legal risks in their business operations.
  • Business Development: Participate in initiatives to grow the firm’s client base, including contributing to thought leadership, preparing pitches, and attending networking events.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Partners, other Associates, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior colleagues or interns as required, fostering a culture of collaboration and learning within the firm.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and qualification to practice law in Nigeria. A Master’s degree (LLM) or specialized certification is a plus. A minimum of 2.1. is required.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial transactions or commercial litigation.
  • Skills: Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legal frameworks, case law, and regulatory standards

Soft Skills: Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and client-focused approach.
