Balogun Harold Advises on US$60 Million Receivables Securitisation
Balogun Harold acted as legal adviser to a venture-backed fintech company on the US$60 million securitisation of its car loan receivables, a landmark transaction in Nigeria’s emerging asset-backed finance market.
The transaction involved the structuring, documentation, and negotiation of a receivables-backed funding framework to unlock liquidity and enable the client to expand its vehicle financing operations across Nigeria.
Our team advised on all aspects of the transaction including structuring, regulatory compliance, perfection of security interests, investor documentation, and transaction closing, working alongside international counsel and financial advisers to deliver a commercially efficient and compliant structure.
* In line with our Deal Announcement Policy, Balogun Harold will only announce completed deals when the client has approved public disclosure, on a non-attributable basis, or where the information is already publicly available.
